It was a relief to return to the quarters they shared. If the Duchess had been sitting any closer to him at lunch she would have been sitting in his kriffing lap. She’d tried her best to hide what she was feeling from Obi-Wan, to hide the restlessness and impatience and everything else that spending a sizeable amount of time watching another woman try her best to seduce her husband made her feel.
That she failed horribly didn’t come as much of a surprise, for all that she’d hoped he wouldn’t notice; they were too close, their bond too strong to completely hide anything. She smiled fondly, brushing a hand through his hair and pressing a kiss to his temple before settling onto the floor beside him to join him in meditation.
